Leadership Summit: Dialogues on Race
The recent months have brought many conversations about race and racism to the forefront of the hearts and minds of many educators and our students. LCSCA is developing a deep collaborative to design and launch a summit for students to discuss aspects of race and racism. The Leadership Summit: Dialogues on Race has come together with strong support from: Millersville University, HACC, YWCA, Crispus Attucks Community Center; #BlackLivesMatter717; Lancaster Newspaper, J-ARTS 2nd Chance Foundation, WITF & the White House Initiative for Educational Excellence for African Americans.
We are asking you to save the date for May 20th, 2015. Please keep in mind 5-10 students, grades 8-12 students who have interests in talking about race and culture, and have interest in leadership to impact their school or community. The Superintendent of Hempfield School District will be presenting at the next superintendents meeting.
Please contact Steve Sharp with additional questions.
