The 2017 School Counselor of the Year, Terri Tchorzynski shares her Top 5 tips for a successful school year.
1. Take care of you so you can take care of your students.

2. Be the voice for ALL students – especially for the students who feel as though their voice is not heard.

3. Remain the voice of reason, the provider of strength and the voice of integrity during challenging times – in the school and in the community.

4. Show your students love, support and encouragement every single day.

5. Enjoy the opportunities you have to change lives. There is no greater feeling than knowing the lives you are working to have an impact on will continue to have an impact on the lives of others. Lead that positive ripple effect.

PSCA and ASCA
