The Lancaster County School Counselors Association works towards promoting the professional status and growth of its members, and improving guidance and counseling services in our schools. |
The Lancaster County School Counselors Association, formerly Lancaster County Counselors Association, welcomes school counselors from throughout the IU 13 of Pennsylvania. LCSCA is the local professional organization for K-12 School Counselors in Lancaster, PA. LCSCA provides
- Informative and Networking meetings at least 4 times a year
- Mini-grants to support school counselors in their endeavors
- Resources to school counselors through social media and email communication
- Email announcements about opportunities for school counselors and their students
- Collaboration with local colleges and organizations

As school counselors at all levels of public and private schools within Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, we share common interests and needs relevant to our primary task of serving students. It is appropriate therefore that we organize ourselves through a professional association and elect officers whose responsibility it will be to accomplish the following objectives of the Association:

Whereas LCSCA, under the guidelines of both the state and national school counselor organizations, recognizes the value, importance and necessity of diversity within our association, LCSCA will embrace, encourage, and respect the diversity that exists within our scope of practice. Furthermore, LCSCA will not act, in word or deed, in any manner that would discriminate against eligible members of this association, for the purposes of membership or office appointment. LCSCA will act in same relative to the support, delivery and implementation of diversity standards for the constituents whom school counselors serve.*
